How to Tell if Your Child is a Bodily-Kinesthetic Learner
Is your child too malikot?
Is your child too malikot?
Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences associates the bodily-kinesthetic gift with a hands-on learning style. Kinesthetically gifted kids learn by exploring, discovering, and doing.
Before you tell them to sit still, you might want to check if their learning style leans towards bodily-kinesthetic. Here are some signs.
They are willing to share their gifts in front of the camera
Bodily-kinesthetic gifted children are natural-born performers. You might want to introduce them to a new platform where they can share their gifts, like on digital platforms!

Your child has excellent physical memory
Bodily-kinesthetic learners learn best by doing, instead of watching or listening. They have excellent physical memory. You can use building blocks to illustrate math concepts and allow them to manipulate the blocks themselves. You can also have them act out stories instead of reading a book.

Your child excels in physical activities
One of the best signs that your child is a kinesthetic learner is doing well in physical activities, like dancing, running, or swimming. Bodily-kinesthetic gifted kids also tend to do well in the theater.
Your child may lose interest quickly
Most kinesthetic learners get distracted quickly. Support their learning style with a private nook where they can play and learn, or by switching up their play or study environment once in a while. Breaking up their schedule to include time for movement could help too.
If your child has been sitting down for a while, let them stand up and play for 15 minutes, then go back to what they were doing.
